KLE Institute of Technology Hubballi, Karnataka, India Abstract— Water is precious available natural resource on the earth. However water is considered as the primary need of human beings. Population growth causes uneven distribution of drinking water in cities and need to monitor and control the consuming of water on minimum requirement base so proposed system improve the water supply monitoring and consuming of water for domestic. The available water billing system is tedious and time consuming process. Error in water billing can occur because of human interference. An arduino development board as central console of embedded system, it reads the sensor to monitor the water usage for houses or domestic purpose. The billing of the water usage will be done automatically and the same will be sent to the user using SMS facility. System gives.

The amount of water that can be drawn in urban areas are at pre-decided flow rate. There are incidents of water theft where the users tend to draw more water than the pre-decide of amount which may leads to certain disputes and conflicts. In this project it is proposed to develop a system where the users and the water suppliers are way far beneficial in using the water which is by fixing flow detecting sensors at both the ends.Implementation with respect to this project is based on a flow monitor system which is a embedded one consisting of flow sensor to record the flow of water, microcontrollers that monitors the flow rate fixed at the user end and from there the info regarding the water usage will be sent to the remote stations through transmitters that are wireless and the users can get the water through solenoid valve which is electrically operated. This valve can be controlled by the water supply boards to dispense the water and off it when flow exceeds the limit. We can use GSM MODEMs for wireless communication to transfer the messages to the officer cell phone regarding the theft identified.

In this fast-paced world people are not able to give attention to their daily work like the water management in their house, taking care of their pets etc. In many cities, corporation water comes after two to three days and it has one fixed timing of two hours only. At the same time you are out of the city or want to go out you can't because someone should be present at the house at the same time to fill the water tanks. On that problem statement we design one system in which you can operate all the cocks, motor from anywhere through Android. There is one thing that in this fast world everything has got smarter so we are trying to give a very smart solution by the use of technology. Which is easy to manoeuvre and access. So that everyone will be benefited by it. We have used the existing technology to get the solution.

Every month it is seen that there are three bills generated for the consumption of the basic necessities like electricity, gas and water we use on a daily basis. The proposed system measures the consumption of all these resources and provides a unified billing and payment system for it. This has two subsystems consisting of a subsystem for measurement and the server-controlled subsystem for data storage and analysis. Communication between these two subsystems is done through wireless network. This system monitors the consumption of electricity, water and gasoline resources. The amount of resources consumed is updated in the server, and a consolidated bill is generated. Every user will be provided a mobile application where the billing details are updated on a monthly basis with a portal for payment. This process is achieved by using the concept of embedded system and IoT.

Prototype for water consumption control (Atena Editora)

Over the past few years, water crises faced by several Brazilian cities have become increasingly frequent. Due to this, society has been led to discuss the economy and rational use of water in increasingly broader sectors. In this project, we propose the construction of a cell phone application, with an Android-type operating system, that monitors residential water consumption and supply throughout the day. To achieve this, this work will be divided into two stages: construction of the monitoring equipment and development of the application algorithm. Monitoring will be carried out using a prototype assembled from an Arduino-type board and ultrasonic and vibration sensors installed in the residence's water tank. From the operation of these sensors, added to the appropriate algorithm on the Arduino board, it is possible to easily determine the volume that is entering or leaving the reservoir. The values for the volume of water consumed and the time of day will be sent by a Wi-Fi module, which is also connected to the Arduino board, to a server. When launched, the application will access this data and give the user three tool options. The first is graphical information on water consumption in liters during the day. The second will be graphical information on the volume of water supplied. Finally, the third option will be the preview of the water and sewage bill to be paid to date and the monthly projection considering the average daily consumption. Using this new technology, water consumers will be able to understand the consumption profile of their home and design the best logistics or strategy to reduce their water consumption and, consequently, the value of their bill.
